Abstract: Low vision severely impacts patients' visual quality and overall quality of life (QoL).QoL questionnaires are widely used to evaluate the effects of visual impairment on daily living. These questionnaires are categorized into vision-related quality of life (VRQoL) scales and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) scales. Common general-purpose scales include the National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire (NEI-VFQ), Low Vision Quality of Life Questionnaire (LVQoL), Visual Function Index (VF-14),Short Form Health Survey Questionnaire(SF-36), and EuroQol 5-Dimension Questionnaire (EQ-5D). Specialized scales such as the Children’s Visual Function Questionnaire (CVFQ) are also available for pediatric and adolescent populations. In clinical practice, combining VRQoL and HRQoL assessments provides a more comprehensive evaluation of low-vision patients’ QoL and the effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions.
