Abstract:

Ocular neovascularization is the common outcome of several ocular diseases, which finally leads to vision loss. The cellular and molecular pathogenesis of ocular neovascularization is complex. It has been widely indicated that Notch signaling pathway is critical for vessel development and function, and involved in ocular neovascularization by modulating a series of molecules and cells. The ongoing clinical trials of Notch-targeting medicines may make Notch signaling a novel therapeutic target for ocular neovascularization.
