Abstract: As one of the minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, KDB Abinterno trabeculectomy can remove trabecular meshwork in a wide range without destroying adjacent tissues, reducing the resistance of aqueous outflow, and thus reducing intraocular pressure. It has certain therapeutic effects on a variety of types of glaucoma. Compared with filtration bleb dependent surgery, it is simple, less complications, high safety, does not destroy the conjunctiva, and does not affect the subsequent operation. This article reviews the principle, procedure, efficacy, safety and combined operation of KDB abinterno trabeculectomy for glaucoma. (Int Rev Ophthalmol, 2021, 45: 280-284)
