瞳孔扩张器可辅助小瞳孔白内障手术。目前应用于临床的有Morcher瞳孔扩张器、Graether瞳孔扩张器、Perfect瞳孔扩张器、Siepser瞳孔扩张器、Malyugin 环瞳孔扩张器和OASIS瞳孔扩张器。随着其设计和使用技巧的不断改进，瞳孔扩张器被认为是目前小瞳孔白内障手术时损伤较轻、辅助作用良好的方法之一。（国际眼科纵览， 2018, 42: 98-101）
