Abstract: Adult amblyopia is an completment of the concept of amblyopia. the researches on the optic nerve plasticity have shown the possibility of adult amblyopia treatment. Compared to the children’s, adult amblyopia has its own physiological particularity.This article provides an overview of relevant literature reported in recent years, describes the treatments and its specificity, suggests that further researches on treatments of adult amblyopia will present new challenges to previous theory of visual development and visual plasticity.
