Compared to dry AMD,  the development of wet AMD is more quickly and is the main cause of decreased visual acuity and vision loss . The treatments of wet AMD mainly include laser treatment,  surgery treatment,  drug treatment,   radiation therapy and gene therapy. Photodynamic therapy,  and anti-VEGF drugs became the hot spots in the treatment of wet AMD. Anti-platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), radiation therapy and gene therapy provide the new thoughts for the treatment of wet AMD.
