Abstract: Due to changes in hormone levels and hemodynamics in pregnant women, the thicknesses of the retina and choroid increase during pregnancy, but the structure of the retina and choroid in women with gestational diabetes and preeclampsia is thinner than that of healthy pregnant women. Women with severe preeclampsia have thicker retina and choroid compared with healthy pregnant women and healthy non-pregnant women. (Int Rev Ophthalmol, 2021, 45: 198-204)
