Abstract:

The key to treat primary open\|angle glaucoma which prevent the high intraocular pressure and irreversible damage to the optic nerve,  is the surgery which
can control intraocular pressure. In recent years, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) has been applied to clinical therapy for glaucoma gradually. Trabectome surgery by increasing the physiologic trabecular meshwork aqueous humor drainage way, to achieve the goal of lower intraocular pressure, compared with the traditional  filtering methods.  Trabectome surgery which has small trauma, shorter operation time, intraoperative and less complications, fast recovery, good efficacy of lowing  IOP and easy post\|operative care etc,  has become more popular in recent years. It has been widely using in abroad in the clinical practice. This paper  on the basis of related research at homeland and abroad, reviewed the surgery principle, clinical efficacy, indications and complications of Trabectome surgery.
