Pediatric clinical visual electrophysiological recordings are different from that of adults, so do the interpretations of results, due to the development and immaturity of children’s optic pathway and electrophysiology. An ideal or satisfactory pediatric clinical visual electrophysiological examination and evaluation requires full awareness of the developmental procedures of optic pathway and visual electrophysiology, recognition of physical and mental characteristics in children with various age. Appropriate adoption of corresponding recording protocol, and correct analysis with related reference data on the basis of a full understanding of the urgent clinical need and the most required realistic problems the child patient involved.
