Presumed ocular histoplasmosis syndrome

Abstract: More and more ophthalmologists pay much attention to presumed ocular histoplasmosis syndrome (POHS), as with the graduallyin-depth understanding of outer retinal diseases. However, most eye doctors keep wondering the syndrome for the exotic disease is rare in China. In this article, the relationships among POHS, histoplasma and histoplasmosis are elucidated firstly, then the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, differential diagnosis and treatments of POHS are summarized systematically.
