Abstract:

During the past 10 decades many clinicians and patients have become convinced that glaucoma is a group of body-mind diseases. And there is a constant inter-relationship between the body and mind. Previous studies showed increased emotional instability, anxiety and depression in different types of glaucoma. Understanding these may improve the treatment of glaucoma for both ophthalmologists and patients. (Ophthalmol CHN, 2015, 24: 278-280)
