Evaluation of visual quality after small incision lenticule extraction

摘要: 飞秒激光小切口角膜基质透镜取出术(small incision lenticule extraction,SMILE)是一种板层角膜屈光手术,对其术后视觉质量的评估可分为主观视觉质量(视力、对比敏感度和视觉量表)及客观视觉质量(波前像差、点扩散函数、斯特尔比值和光学传递函数)。SMILE术后视力恢复快,裸眼视力显著提高,术后高阶像差、球差、彗差增加,对比敏感度、视觉量表评估,双眼视功能早期下降,3~6个月逐渐恢复。(国际眼科纵览,2021, 45:268-272)

Abstract: Small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) is a lamellar corneal refractive surgery, which has become one of the mainstream corneal refractive surgery. The evaluation of postoperative visual quality can be divided into subjective visual quality (visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, visual quality questionnaire) and objective visual quality (wavefront aberration, point spread function, Strehl ratio, modulation transfer function). The vision recovered quickly, and the uncorrected visual acuity was significantly improved of patients after SMILE surgery. Postoperative high-order aberrations, spherical aberrations, and coma increased, contrast sensitivity, visual scale evaluation, and binocular visual function decreased at early, but gradually recovered in 3~6 months.
