摘要:

翼状胬肉是常见眼表疾病,紫外线照射可能是翼状胬肉发病的重要因素。过氧化物还原蛋白(peroxiredoxin 2,Prx2)是一种过氧化物酶,能有效清除紫外线产生的活性氧(reactive oxygen species,ROS),Prx2同时参与信号传导过程。研究证实,Prx2在恶性肿瘤等疾病中发挥重要作用,是肿瘤治疗的一个潜在治疗靶点。初步研究显示,Prx2参与翼状胬肉的发生,但是目前还缺乏其分子机制的深入研究。Prx2具有过氧化物酶和分子伴侣活性,参与H2O2传递和信号传导等生物学过程。Prx2抑制剂的发展将促进Prx2的实验研究和应用研究。Prx2能否成为翼状胬肉治疗的新靶点,尚需进一步研究。

Abstract:

Pterygium is a common ocular surface disease in China, which is mainly related to UV light exposure. Peroxiredoxin 2 (Prx2), an antioxidant enzyme, can reduce reactive oxygen species caused by ultraviolet radiation, and its functional role in signal transduction also been confirmed. Early studies demonstrated that prx2 involved in the several cancers, and prx2 could be a potential target of cancer treatment. Initial studies also supported the proposal that Prx2 could be involved in the development of pterygium. However, the molecular mechanism of Prx2 in pterygium is poorly understood. Prx2 plays dual roles as both antioxidant enzyme and molecular chaperone, which acts a sensor for H2O2 and signaling pathways. The development of Prx2 inhibitors will facilitate the experimental and application research on Prx2 Further studies are required to test the hypothesis that Prx2 could be a potential target of pterygium treatment.
