Abstract:

Vitreoretinal surgery is the main treatment for complex vitreoretinal diseases. Elevation of the intraocular pressure is a common early complication within one week. Intraocular pressure peak offen seen on the day of vitreoretinal surgery.  The mechanisms of early intraocular pressure elevation after vitrectomy operation are still not clear. Filling with silicone oil is one of the main factors,  in addition, the primary diseases and surgery-related fators, such as diabetes millitum,  aging,  combinated surgery,  etc.
