Abstract: In recent years, the number of cases of microsporidial keratitis reported abroad has been increasing and many domestic ophthalmic institutions have also reported and diagnosed such cases. Microsporidia is a unicellular, intracellular parasitic protozoa, which mainly infects the cornea through contact contamination. Because its clinical manifestations are similar to common superficial punctate keratitis or fungal keratitis, its diagnosis mainly depends on laboratory examination of etiology. At present, the treatment of microsporidia cornea mainly depends on the combination of antifungal drugs such as voriconazole and antibiotics such as gatifloxacin, and patients with severe corneal stromitis need timely surgical treatment. The etiology, pathological mechanism, rapid diagnosis and treatment of microsporidia keratitis need further study.
